Supermind is building trusted platforms and technology to give consumers greater access to legal psychedelic medicine and alternative wellness practitioners. Supermind’s flagship properties, Psychedelics.com and Microdosing.com, are launching later this year which, along with our premier social channels, will bring quality, credible, and comprehensive content covering the world of psychedelics. Additionally, we will operate several general mental health properties and have a significant focus on PTSD.

The position will work closely with our content leadership team and editors to create trustworthy, factually accurate, deeply researched, and highly engaging articles providing visitors with the information and inspiration they need.

Our ideal partner won’t just utilize information from legitimate sources, such as medical journals, peer-reviewed articles, and reliable websites. Our writers will craft informative, topical, unbiased, factual content that will increase brand visibility. Content should spark inspiration, curiosity, and engagement. They will also speak to people from a relatable, emotionally engaging point of view that builds genuine connection between our readers and us.

Primary/Major Responsibilities:

  • Research and write original, high-quality content in cooperation with editors for assigned sites, considering the style and audience for each.
  • Create optimal user experiences through content, page flow (“story”), styling, navigation, and funneling via related content.
  • Ensure content is factually accurate and appropriately sourced, providing sources/citations where relevant.
  • Collaborate with editors to ensure page/site goals are being achieved.
  • Optimize copy with an emphasis on Organic Search, ensuring consistency and quality across all written content.
  • Write in accordance with our Editing Style Guide, employing best practices for content, and adhering to each site’s specific voice and style to promote brand consistency.
  • Write content for rich media (e.g., videos, infographics, etc.).
  • Research and write for long-form articles and expert guides.

Secondary/Minor Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high awareness of relevant trending topics and news to identify content opportunities.
  • Determine opportunities to incorporate rich media into sites (i.e., video content, infographics, interactive media, slideshows, etc.).

Ideal Qualifications for the position:

  • Experience creating rich feature articles, ideally in the mental health, psychedelic, and behavioral health fields. We are open to talented writers who have high-level experience but are newer to this space.
  • Experience producing high-quality original editorial content at a rapid pace.
  • An ability to translate dense medical journals and research reports into digestible and engaging content is a plus!
  • Superior command of the English language.
  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with SEO as it relates to content development (keyword research, information architecture, on-page optimization, linking, etc.)
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Google Apps.
  • Must have a passion for inspiration through educational, digestible, and rich feature writing.
  • Advanced degree (Masters or higher) in journalism, writing, or related field AND/OR behavioral health, mental health, or related field a major plus, but in no way required.
